poca is an intimate neighbourhood restaurant situated in Pontcanna, Cardiff, offering an informal and relaxed dining environment. Our focus is on humble ingredients of the highest quality, and we work directly with local suppliers to create a menu that reflects the seasons and our own creative touch.

At the helm of our kitchen is Chef Patron Antonio Simone. Although born in Cardiff, Antonio was raised with Italian heritage where food was always at the heart of family life. Alongside his other restaurants – The Humble Onion in Dinas Powys and alium in Barry, poca continues his ethos of using classic combinations and valuing every ingredient, producing dishes with memorable flavours and textures.

The emphasis is on sharing, from smaller plates showcasing meat, fish, and vegetables, to larger plates such as glazed neck of lamb. Whether it’s a light lunch or dinner with family, friends, or colleagues, or a special occasion celebration, our menu offers something for everyone.
